Airsprung Group is a privately owned furniture company and is proud to be one of the UK's largest manufacturers of beds, mattresses and upholstered furniture. We are a company that employs approximately 500 people across 7 subsidiaries.

We are seeking a full time and permanent Group SH&E Manager to develop and execute health and safety initiatives across the Group companies located in Wiltshire, County Durham, Lancashire and Bristol.

Based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring best practice and compliance in all health and safety issues in line with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.

Reporting directly in to the Chief Executive Officer and working 35 hours per week, you will effectively co-ordinate and lead Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives across the Group. This will include providing specialist advice, support and information to employees at all levels. You will be required to support all areas of the business in ensuring a safety first culture and provide training, where necessary. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data records and statistics, using the information to provide analysis and solutions to the Board.

We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar role and is qualified with a NEBOSH diploma as minimum.

The successful candidate must actively keep up to date with changing legislation and understand the importance of a quick and effective response time, along with its impact on the business. An individual with a pro-active attitude and excellent influencing and negotiating skills is essential in order to develop positive attitudes to health and safety within all levels of the business.

Due to the amount of data recording required in this role, the successful candidate will need to be computer literate with Microsoft Office, especially Access.
