Main duties will include, but are not limited to:-

  • Managing KPI’s through the correct control of labour costs, quality and volume
  • Driving improvements in all production areas to include Safety, Quality, Cost Delivery, People and Environmental KPI’S
  • Leading and motivating all direct and indirect staff to ensure maximum output
  • Attending daily production meetings
  • Assisting the HR and Health and Safety Departments to ensure compliance
  • People Management to include employee development, team engagement, absence management, disciplinary hearings etc.

Required skills and competencies:

  • A proven background in production management, ideally in furniture manufacturing but not essential
  • The ability to lead and motivate the team around them
  • Confident decision maker
  • Driven with a can do attitude
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A methodical approach
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst keeping calm under pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A Level 5 ILM Certificate in Leadership and Management, or equivalent, is desirable
